All the others had been given a loving home. She was happy for her friends, even though she could never see them again. As the cold rain began to fall, she was growing a little desperate and tried to get people's - those lovely two legged creatures' who she wanted to give her love to - attention by meowing. She couldn't understand why people were looking at her in a different way than at the others. They didn't look at her pitying nor saying "so cute", they looked at her with a grimace. There was one thing she didn't know. She was ugly. And nobody wants to love the ugly one.
I drew this two months ago. It was for the art diploma course (it's kinda the matriculation exam or final exam of art) and I got 5 out of 5 points so I'm really happy!
I chose the assignment in which you had to create an artwork that takes a stand on something, for example social issues such as injustice and inequality. I did this about discrimination and animal abuse. This problem is not only with animals... Too often people are judged only by their looks too, and the inside is ignored.
So cute yet sad. It does demonstrate what really does happen in the real world. I think that if you published this as a real short for a newspaper or a commercial or something, I bet you would get famous; that's how amazing I think this is. Most people truly do not know how to judge or realize what looks and words hurt. If every bully that bullied by looks looked at this I bet they would change their minds completely. However I think that this is amazing, I think that the head isn't defined enough to be a breed of feline that I know of. But anyways I think It is amazing.
Beautiful example of reality! It represents the truth in society and actually draws the soul to it, making them feel through the lonely kitten's senses and watch through her eyes as the many people walk by and turn her down. This and it's companion paragraph of writing could make a brilliant movie or even a vibrant storybook. You my friend have far to go down the path of the artist but have reached a special point so far. Okay, now lets tone down the fancy wording and get to the actual point of this critique. I wish with all my heart you have good luck and this piece of work could make it far!
I cried a bit here. This is such a sad picture. I would take any rain-soaked kitten off the street to my house where she would receive food, water, and shelter. And I would love her to death, and tell her that she's a treasure to me. Because all animals should receive love......
I don't care if a cat or kitten is ugly,id take it home(if its free) cuz' everything should be treated equally, besides i think ever kitten is adorable anyway.
Poor kity! She`s not ugly at all... I mean... i`m not fond of persian muzzles and i do find it not very pretty... at least, but ironicly, i just took a little "ugly" half-persian kitten to my home. it was another city, it was hard raining.. and now that "ugly" cat lives with me. And there is no better animal in the world. my dear loving Shuma. And your art is just really heartbreaking. stunning, but heartbreaking.
PS: it made me cry.... D::::::::
